Role: General Worker

About Sasol (Mines)

Sasol Limited is an integrated energy and chemical corporation, was founded in 1950 in Sasolburg. Sasol develops and commercializes technologies, such as those for synthetic fuels, and produces a variety of liquid fuels, chemicals, nuclear, coal tar, and power.

Six coal mines run by Sasol Mining provide the fuel for our integrated value chain in Southern Africa. A portion of the coal delivered to Secunda Synfuels Operations (SSO) is utilized to produce power, but most of it is used as a gasification feedstock. Sasolburg Operations (SO) uses the coal that is provided to them to produce steam and electricity. Through the Richards Bay Coal Terminal, we also export coal from the Twistdraai Export Plant to clients that are engaged in the production of electricity abroad.
