Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- COMSOC I & II
- Computer Literate (MS Office and Project)
- Accident investigation (ICAM/RCAT/SCAT/LFI)
- Risk Assessment Techniques: (Swift, HAZOP and FMECA)
- Valid Driver’s license
- Trade Certificate (Advantageous)
- Blasting Certificate (Advantageous)
Experience:
- 3 Years relevant mining/ process/ engineering/ mining related training experience or equivalent
Job Description:
As a Safety Officer SHE your responsibilities include the following:
- Carry out statutory inspections.
- Participate and follow up on safety and incident investigations.
- Compile safety reports
- Check compliance to safety systems.
- Participate in the development of standards and codes of practice (COPs)
- Short range Operational Unit Planning
- Collect and analyse safety data.
- Monitor corrective action status.
This role is in the SHE Department and is at a D1 level reporting to the Chief Safety Officer.
