Position Purpose:
To operate a minimum of one lifting equipment machinery as per the Code of Practice 29 requirements, applicable to specific
terminals to handle cargo in accordance with specified standard operating procedures in order to maximize terminal productivity.
Position outputs:

1. Perform daily task as specified per equipment.
2. Handle commodities in line with daily operational requirements
3. Complete logbook as well record equipment defects.
4. Operate equipment in compliance with standard operating procedures.
5. Manual capture of data in the absent of system where applicable. .
6. Maintain radio communication.
7. Monitor equipment performance during operation to establish defects.
8. Report incidents / accidents.
9. Report daily operational occurrences.
10. Operation of safety equipment when required (fire
    extinguisher)
11. Adhere to terminal safety policies and procedures.
    Qualifications & Experience:

• Must have a Grade 12 / Matric
• Must have relevant Certificate of Competence – Counter Balanced Lift Truck (SWL 10 000 kg) (Empty Container Handler)
• Must have an unendorsed Code EB Drivers licence
• Must be computer literacy and have knowledge of GCOS / NAVIS as an added advantage.
• Must have 3 years driving experience.
