We’re on the lookout for an experienced Team Member –  Nursery Driver to support the Nursery by moving plants and trays within the nursery in order to ensure that production targets are met and to maintain the grounds.
 

As a Team Member –  Nursery Driver, you will be responsible for: 

• Ensure that plant materials are moved timeously in order to be processed for growth and development
• Collect and deliver raw and processed materials from and to various areas in the nursery
• Move empty trays around the nursery
• Assist with the movement of the growing medium
• Ensure that the Nursery are maintained to a neat and safe standard
• Mow and slash grass
• Ensure that the application of chemicals are applied when necessary
• Application of chemical in and around grounds and fenced perimeter
• Application of chemical on plants with the use of a mist blower
• Ensure that the daily maintenance of equipment is carried out
• Complete daily checklist as per procedure and report faults to the Supervisor
• Collection of goods and people transport
• Collect goods as and when required
• Comply with Safety standards in order to have a safe working environment
• Ensure that the tractor, trailers and other utility vehicles are in a safe condition to use
• Ensure that the correct PPE is used where necessary
• Ensure that all equipment is used in a safe manner and is in safe working order

What are we looking for?

• At least 6 months experience in Nursery / Forestry / Manufacturing environment
• Basic numeracy & literacy
• Driver licences (code 8, code 11)
