The Learnership is taking place at the Linden Lanes store and will be based exclusively in the cosmetics department where participants will be trained to become cosmetic sales consultants. To be eligible for this Learnership, you must have a matric qualification with Mathematics / Maths Lit and English. Additionally, you should be computer literate in Microsoft Office, have a passion for cosmetics and beauty, and be willing to work retail hours. Individuals who have previous working experience in the retail industry, a driver’s license, and SAP experience will be at an advantage.
The Learnership offers a comprehensive training program that includes various duties and responsibilities. Participants will be expected to assist with the loading and off-loading of stock, provide friendly and courteous customer service, demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetic demonstrations, and spray promotions, maintain a high standard of cleanliness and displays, ensure full ranges of products are on the shelves at all times, and process payments at a Cosmetic Department Point of Sales.
In addition to these duties, Learners will also be expected to work towards achieving sales targets, keep updated with in-depth knowledge regarding existing and new products, brands, and the retail industry, resolve customer queries and complaints, and be responsible for all cosmetics, fragrances, and beauty house promotions.
The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, be persuasive, and have strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills. Additionally, the candidate should be team-oriented, have time management skills, be trustworthy and honest, have basic financial skills, understand customer needs, be creative, target and deadline driven, be able to work under pressure, and have an attention to detail.
To be considered for this Learnership, you must be a South African citizen, have a clear criminal and credit record, hold a driver’s license or have reliable transportation, and be willing to work retail hours. The Learnership offers a stipend as remuneration and benefits.
