Position Overview

As a LINDT Ambassador, your mission is to ensure every customer enjoys a world-class premium experience. This role entails delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service and Sales

  • Provide exceptional customer service both in-store and over the phone.
  • Extend a warm welcome to all customers, ensuring a memorable experience.
  • Educate customers about Lindt chocolate products with passion and in-depth knowledge.
  • Actively engage in product sampling, sharing insights on taste profiles and ingredients.
  • Drive upselling opportunities to increase customer transaction value.
  • Inform customers about current in-store promotions, events, and relevant information.
  • Assist customers in selecting premium Lindt products, fostering additional sales.
  • Efficiently manage multiple customer interactions, acknowledging and communicating with all.
  • Juggle between store operational tasks and serving customers effectively.
  • Process customer orders through the POS system, handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Take ownership of individual tills, including float counting and end-of-shift till procedures.
  • Prepare substantial customer orders.
  • Address customer complaints promptly by informing the Manager on duty.
  • Foster rapport with regular customers, encouraging repeat business.
  • Maintain a pleasant and friendly store atmosphere through restocking and cleaning.

Product Knowledge

  • Possess an in-depth understanding of Lindt products, including specifications, ingredients, and storage.
  • Be well-versed in product pricing, packaging, and category performance.
  • Adhere to product management and handling procedures.
  • Comply with food hygiene and safety standards through impeccable practices.

General

  • Uphold Lindt values and standards outlined in the Credo and Lindt Policies & Procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain product sampling quality control.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures, signing off on checklists.
  • Perform cleaning duties, ensuring checklist completion.
  • Regularly record temperature readings as per guidelines.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Ensure fixtures, glass cabinets, and floors remain consistently clean and tidy.
  • Exemplify the company image and grooming policy through body language, demeanor, and presentation.
  • Accept courier deliveries, verifying items against invoices.
  • Assist in monthly stock counts.
  • Unpack, move, and restock products.
  • Utilize all in-store equipment, machines, and appliances efficiently.

Work, Health, and Safety

  • Adhere to all work health and safety requirements.
  • Report damaged or hazardous equipment or property to management.

Manual Handling

  • Engage in repetitive lifting and moving of Lindt stock, which may weigh up to 12kgs per unit.
  • Transfer stock from storerooms to the front of the house.
  • Monitor daily sales to maximize store profitability without compromising customer service.
  • Place timely merchandise and supply orders, focusing on inventory management and loss prevention.
  • Conduct daily cash reconciliations, complete daily paperwork and accounting, and handle other store administration tasks.
  • Demonstrate confidence and interactiveness with a friendly disposition.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, coupled with a strong work ethic befitting a premium brand.
  • Display responsibility and accountability in achieving individual goals and budgets.
  • Exhibit good time management skills, including multitasking and prioritization.
  • Be a self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintain impeccable grooming standards and personal hygiene.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service.
  • Prior experience in a similar retail environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12).
