Summary of Role: Directs and performs skilled mechanical maintenance work, planning and scheduling daily and weekly maintenance activities. Assists in developing, implementing, and monitoring preventive maintenance programs
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing and coordinating maintenance administration and maintenance program.
Carving out daily and random checks regarding stock control. (Parts)
Management maintenance of Fleet vehicles.
Managing day to day problems with maintenance employees, time sheets are carefully managed
Ensuring all company control procedures are adhered too.
Maintaining discipline in the workplace by way of the company’s Industrial Relations guidelines.
Attending daily meetings with Maintenance Manager to resolve day to day issues regarding maintenance.
Conduct daily meetings with maintenance team to resolve day to day issues regarding maintenance.
Carrying out the relevant daily, weekly and monthly inspections and control parameters to ensure the quality of the product is maintained at all times.
Ensure all document control, daily diaries, and all other site administrative practices are meticulously done including scope changes and all contract variances.
Team effort and morale.
Root cause analysis must be performed to find out the cause of breakdowns, and a COMPONENT FAILURE rEGISTER must be compiled to assist in developing a preventative maintenance plan..
Set up and maintain planning and measurement Q.C. systems and monitor compliance
Schedule maintenance on the crushing plant.
Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
Requirements:
Minimum Grade 12.
Valid drivers license
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
A recognised Supervisory / Leadership Program Certificate or studying towards one.
HIRA Certificate.
MHSA Certificate.
Legal Liability Certificate.
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Certificate.
ICAM Certificate.
HR related experience – Leave management; Time and Attendance; IR, etc
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Basic communication skills (written and oral)
Ability to work in a team.
