The Novartis Learnership Programme in South Africa is open to unemployed youth who are looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry. This Sales Representative Learnership aims to provide exposure to Novartis’ field force environment and provide learners with the opportunity to assist in the promotion of the company’s portfolio and services to customers.

Novartis is seeking 4 Sales Rep Learners in Gauteng. The learners will be responsible for distributing marketing samples, adhering to regulatory requirements, and assisting with various tasks, including uploading marketing events for approvals, performing literature searches, and shadowing Customer Engagement Consultants in their daily work. Additionally, the learners must be comfortable using various digital tools and have the ability to adapt, organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a matrix environment.

The minimum requirements for this learnership include a university degree in science and/or business, marketing or an equivalent qualification. Fluency in English and a local language is preferred. Applicants should have scientific acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail, as well as strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. No prior work experience is mandatory, but an understanding of internal/external ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
